KC Business Leaders and Entrepreneurs Invited to Submit Session Ideas for GEWKC 2026
Kansas City’s business and entrepreneur community is invited to submit sessions for Global Entrepreneurship Week - KC, an interactive educational experience co-hosted by KCSourceLink and UMKC Innovation Center from November 16-21, 2026, at Union Station Kansas City.
Ideas for sessions will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2026. Click on “Submit a Session”. Visit Speaker FAQs for more information.
GEWKC is a highly sought-after platform. Session formats range from solo talks and expert panels to hands-on workshops, networking events and more. Space is limited. Sessions that focus on real skill-building, knowledge sharing and tangible takeaways for entrepreneurs have the strongest chance of being selected.
“GEWKC continues to build incredible momentum, and after last year’s strong attendance, we’re excited to open speaker applications for 2026. As more people explore entrepreneurship, side businesses and new career paths amid economic uncertainty, we’re looking for speakers who can help attendees navigate the realities of building a business today,” said Callie England, GEWKC director and marketing director at UMKC Innovation Center. “Whether that means turning a side hustle into a sustainable source of income, launching a new venture, finding customers, securing capital or scaling an existing business, we’re seeking presenters who can share practical lessons learned through experience. This is an opportunity for founders, small business owners and entrepreneurial leaders to give back and help others feel more prepared, connected and confident.”
Past topics that have been well-attended at GEWKC include:
• Marketing Mastermind Panel
• AI and Marketing: Create 30 Days of Content with Chat GPT
• Polish Your Pitch: An Interactive Guide on Clarifying Your Story Hook
• Marketing and sales for artists/makers/creatives
• What entrepreneurs should know about trademarks, copyrights, intellectual property, equity funding, hiring vs. contracting, etc.
Meeting space and workspace will be available for session leaders. Presenters not selected for Union Station may lead an in-person or virtual offsite community event during GEWKC week.
Selection: Submissions will be evaluated by the GEWKC planning committee, and accepted presenters will be notified in August. GEWKC participant registration opens in October.
